We had the opportunity to vist the Getty Villa, just 12 miles from downtown LA or one hour drive north from Orange County and it was breathtaking. The classical art and special exhibition on Aphrodite was impressive. Most important is the time away to breathe and enjoy the beauty. On this memorial day, it reminds me that stepping back is re-energizing. Visit this gem of a museum to reflect, appreciate the gardens. It is eye-opening to see that so much of our contemporary sensibilities in art came from 3,000 years or more ago. Not a bad thing to appreciate old and new.
